When she was 3 years old she was adopted by Borgny and Øyvind Særsten who gave her a very stable and strict upbringing.She loves her parents very much and is always thankful for what they have taught her in life. She grew up on Halsnøy which is a little island on the western coast of Norway.In 1978 she was baptised Gousia Carina Særsten in Eid Kyrkje and she spent her entire childhood at Halsnøy.

Gousia is a Lutheran Christian,and her belief in Lord Jesus Christ is very fundamental in her life. She loves the Lord with all her heart and soul. In 1997 she gave birth to Christopher who is her one and only son who she loves very much.

In 1998 Gousia and her family at that point went to Perth in Western Australia. In Perth Gousia studied Information Technology for some months.This was a valuable experience for her. After that she worked in the IT-Business in Oslo as a network administrator,but her passion for writing music always kept her in the studio recording on her spare time and she usually tries to find time to record her music.

Gousia is very determined and she knows what she wants out of life.To share her music with people around the world and inspire them in a positive way has always been her dream.

Because of the fact that she experienced poverty when she was a baby,she wants to be able to give her help to others.

During the last years she's been travelling to Los Angeles/Hollywood,New York,London,other countries and capitols in order to pursue her artist career.

In USA and Norway she worked as a volunteer in order to help homeless,drug abusers and poor children. Her wish is to be able to use her Singer/Songwriter Talent in order to serve God and support poor,sick people and children around the world.

Gousia has always had a need to express herself in one way or another. At 5 years old she started in music kindergarden, and that was where she first started singing.Then later she played the organ for some years.Theatre became her hobby and she acted in a local theatre group at Halsnøy during her childhood years.

Photographers have always taken interest in her looks and she has covered magazines a couple of times as a model. Acting has not been her primary field of interest, but she's done some extra work as an actress for an famous artist, acted in a Norwegian Movie,one TV show and one Short Film.

She writes all her lyrics and mainly all her music, and she has also been co-producing her songs. For Gousia singing, writing and producing music is a passion.

The EP Warrior Of Light (2009) is Gousia's very first "album relase" ever.With this EP she has tried to put together a couple of songs which express who she is as an artist.Like any other artist she writes about her life and what she's experienced. She loves to be in the studio,and feels that singing, writing and composing music "feeds her soul".She wants to write music that people want to listen to for eternity,then create an atmosphere where the audience has a real "feel good" experience during her live shows....
